The MultiPro™ Tailgate essentially combines the capabilities of two separate tailgates into one. The tailgate’s primary gate is hinged like a standard tailgate and features a smaller inner gate that’s hinged inside. By having two different panels, the tailgate is able to be multifunctional while still being dependable on the job site. When loading tools and equipment into the truck bed, simply push a release button to lower the primary gate while your hands are full. If you need to grab something from the bed, lower both the primary gate and inner gate to more easily reach your items. In addition, lower just the inner gate to turn the tailgate into a work surface.

If you drive your GMC truck more for pleasure than for work, the MultiPro™ Tailgate also has the versatility to suit your desires. Lower the inner gate and then unfold the inside panel to create a load stop for longer items like surfboards. With both gates lowered, unlatch the inner panel from the inner gate and fold it down to form a 48-inch wide step that makes unloading your beach gear more convenient. If you fold the inside panel upright, you can keep longer items in place with a vertical barrier. The multi-function tailgate is also available with the MultiPro™ Audio System by KICKER®, which allows you to listen to your favorite music during a tailgate party with Bluetooth® streaming or a USB port.
