Can I buy a vehicle from Rivard Buick GMC if I live outside Florida?
Yes. We deliver across Florida and ship nationwide. The entire purchase, from quote to signed documents, can be completed electronically, and delivery is arranged through our network of vehicle shippers.
How much does shipping cost?
We work with a large network of vehicle shippers, so shipping is quoted on a per-deal basis using your delivery address. Your specialist includes the shipping quote in your numbers before you sign anything.
Can I finance with my own bank or credit union?
Yes. Certified or wired funds must be received from your lender by the dealership before delivery. Drafts, letters of credit, and funds on hold are not accepted on out-of-state deals. Our finance team is also happy to quote financing directly.
Who handles my taxes, title, and registration?
We do. Our team handles your out-of-state taxes and registration fees as part of the purchase. A small number of states do not allow us to determine or collect their local fees and taxes; in those cases we cannot deliver the vehicle to that state, and we will tell you up front.
What insurance and documents do I need?
You will need state and VIN specific insurance, a driver's license from your state, and, if you are transferring a license plate, a copy of your state registration. All items must match the address on your new registration.
Can I handle my own title and registration?
Yes, if you purchase a pre-owned vehicle with immediately available certified or wired funds. No, if you purchase any new vehicle or a financed pre-owned vehicle: lenders require the dealership to provide proof of registration and lien record, and GM requires proof of registration matching any incentives received.
What if I am not returning home right away?
That is not a problem, unless your home state requires a vehicle or emissions inspection in your home state before it will title and register the vehicle.
How long until I receive my registration?
Every state processes out-of-state titles at a different speed, and required inspection or tax receipts add time. With complete documents, our goal is to finish your registration within 60 days.
