For executive transport and livery work, the Yukon and Yukon XL are the usual choice. The 2027 Yukon and Yukon XL both seat up to eight. The XL adds length where the luggage goes: 41.5 cubic feet behind the third row, against 25.5 in the Yukon. The Denali trim adds the finish clients expect when they are picked up at Tampa International Airport or St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

The Savana Passenger 3500 seats 12 as standard and up to 15. It comes in LS and LT trims with a 4.3L V6 at 276 horsepower or an available 6.6L V8 at 401 horsepower, on an eight-speed automatic with rear-wheel drive. With the V8 it can pull 9,200 to 9,600 lbs depending on wheelbase, which covers a luggage trailer on an airport run.
For larger groups, the Savana Cutaway is the base for purpose-built shuttle bodies. The upfitter builds the passenger body on the chassis, and Casey writes the order so the chassis fits that body. For smaller hotel, resort or tour runs between Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg, a Yukon XL seating up to eight is a more comfortable option than a van.
Which GMC truck should a contractor or trade business buy?
Start with what the truck has to tow and carry. The 2027 Sierra 1500 handles crews, light trailers and service bodies. It offers four engines, including a 5.7L V8 at 402 horsepower that lets it tow up to 13,500 lbs, and a Regular Cab in rear-wheel drive carries up to 2,320 lbs of payload.
When the trailer gets heavier, move up to heavy duty. The 2026 Sierra 2500HD with the 6.6L Duramax turbo-diesel at 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft is rated for 22,390 lbs of trailering and a 4,049 lb payload. The 2026 Sierra 3500HD dually raises that to 36,000 lbs of trailering and 7,290 lbs of payload for gooseneck and fifth-wheel work.

The 2027 Savana Cargo comes as a 2500 or 3500, in a regular or extended wheelbase. The regular wheelbase holds 239.4 cubic feet and the extended holds 283.6. Payload reaches 3,280 lbs on the 2500 and 4,280 lbs on the 3500. With the available V8 it tows up to 10,000 lbs.
The flat floor and square sides make it easy to fit shelving, racking, partitions and ladder racks, so plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs and parts runners can stock it like a rolling shop. Yes. The Sierra 3500HD Chassis Cab is built to be finished by a body builder. It comes with the 6.6L Duramax at 470 horsepower and 975 lb-ft or the 6.6L gas V8 at 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft, rated to a GVWR of 14,000 lbs and a GCWR of 40,000 lbs. Those two numbers decide what the finished truck can weigh and tow once the flatbed, dump bed or service body is mounted. The Savana Cutaway is the usual chassis for box bodies.
Send Casey your body builder's spec sheet, or tell him what the truck needs to do. He writes the order around the finished weight, not the bare chassis, so the truck stays legal when it is loaded. Equipment installed by an independent upfitter or conversion company is not covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Confirm who warrants the body and its equipment before you sign the order.
