2027 GMC Yukon

What Actually Changed for the 2027 Yukon
This is not a redesign year. The GMC Yukon received its comprehensive mid-cycle refresh for the 2025 model year, which brought the revised front and rear styling, the overhauled dashboard with the vertical center display, and Duramax availability on more trims. Industry reporting points to the next full redesign arriving around 2029, which makes 2027 the third year of a settled generation.
That means the meaningful 2027 news is entirely in the order guide, and it is more consequential than a carryover year usually is. Super Cruise moves to standard equipment on Denali. Two AT4 option packages disappear. A new Elevation Preferred Package becomes the only way to get Super Cruise on the entry trim. Super Cruise Standard on Denali
Previously bundled inside the Advanced Technology Package. For 2027 it is standard equipment on Yukon Denali, and the Advanced Technology Package still exists carrying other content.
Elevation Preferred Package
The only route to Super Cruise on the Elevation trim. It includes the full content of the Technology Package alongside other comfort and convenience equipment.

Unchanged styling, unchanged interior, and the same three engines: the 5.3L V8, the 6.2L V8, and the Duramax 3.0L turbodiesel inline-six. Built on the GM T1 platform at Arlington, Texas.
When the 2027 Yukon Arrives in Tampa
Dealer order submission for the 2027 Yukon and Yukon XL opened July 23, 2026, with the ordering system available to dealers for configuration starting July 9. Start of regular production is scheduled for September 8, 2026 at the GM Arlington Assembly plant in Texas, the same facility that builds the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban and the Cadillac Escalade. Production of the 2026 Yukon concludes September 4, 2026.
Practically, that puts the first 2027 Yukons on the ground at Tampa-area dealerships in the fall of 2026. These dates come from GM production scheduling and are tentative until units actually ship. If you want a specific build rather than whatever lands in stock, ordering now is the difference between getting your configuration and taking someone else's.

2027 GMC Yukon Trim Levels
The 2027 Yukon lineup carries over unchanged in structure: five trims, each available in standard-length Yukon and extended-length Yukon XL body styles. Both are built at Arlington on the same schedule.

The 2027 Yukon Interior
The cabin is unchanged from 2026. The 2025 refresh introduced the current dashboard, and it carries forward intact: a vertically oriented 16.8-inch Premium Infotainment System, a configurable digital instrument cluster recessed into the binnacle, a column-mounted gear selector, and a row of physical controls beneath the display. Real wood trim, open-pore finishes, and available second-row executive seating remain on the upper trims.
For 2027 the only interior changes are content-level: bright door sill plates become standard across the range, the Rear Seat Media System drops its two Bluetooth headphones, and the dealer-installed Interior Protection Package is discontinued along with the first- and second-row all-weather floor mats.

Super Cruise Availability

Diesel Gating
The Duramax 3.0L is still available, but on AT4 it now requires the Premium or Premium Plus Package, and on Elevation with second-row buckets it requires the Preferred or Premium package. Budget for the package, not just the engine.
Trailering Bundles Moved
The Premium Trailering Package is gone on Denali. Max Trailering now arrives through the Denali Reserve or Advanced Technology package, and on Elevation only through the Premium Package.
Sunroof Rules
On AT4 the panoramic sunroof now requires the Technology Package when ordered on its own, and it is gas-only unless you take the AT4 Premium Package, which bundles it.
Air Ride on Denali
Pairing the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension with 4WD now also requires the Sun & Power Step Package. It remains included with the Premium Capability Package on 4WD models.
New Color and Wheels
Coastal Dune is the new exterior color for 2027, joined by two new wheel designs. Color availability is trim-dependent, so confirm before you lock a build.
